22 Oct After the defeat of ISIS in Raqqa, Syria, what comes next in the Middle East?

As of October 17, 2017, ISIS has been defeated in Raqqa, Syria, one of its “self proclaimed” major capitals. As we discussed in a previous article, after the Islamic State’s (ISIS) defeat in Mosul, Iraq (July 10, 2017), their other “self-proclaimed” capital, it was just a matter of time before their tyrannical control over Raqqa would come to an end. Talal Salo, spokesman for the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated, “major military operations in Raqqa are finished but they are now clearing the city of sleeper cells – if they exist – and mines.” He continued, “the situation in Raqqa is under control and soon there will be an official statement declaring the liberation of the city.” The SDF is a coalition of Arab and Kurdish fighters.
President Trump also substantiated that Raqqa’s liberation from ISIS is a major pivotal point in the Middle East, declaring it as a “critical breakthrough” in the worldwide campaign to defeat the barbaric group and its “wicked ideology.” Along with the Islamic State’s defeat in Mosul, Iraq (July 10, 2017), the president emphasized, “the end of the ISIS caliphate is in sight.”
During the Islamic State’s climatic and gruesome rise to power over the last few years, many of the mainstream media, Bible scholars, prophecy teachers, and others, declared ISIS would be the “organization” that would create an “Islamic caliphate.” However, as we have written in several articles, including in our book God’s Prophetic Timeline, Messiah’s Final Warning, this theory is not biblical in any way, shape, or form. Of course, ISIS is an evil fundamentalist Islamic group who will continue to spew terror across the world, albeit as a “terrorist group,” not a caliphate. Indeed, ISIS is the “JV team” that has paved the destructive way for the “varsity teams” to rise to their prophetic calling.
According to the Holy Bible, the “varsity teams” are rising exceedingly quick, and we will soon witness a cataclysmic war of biblical proportions for Middle East supremacy and dominance between two kingdoms (Daniel 2,7,8).
Who are these two kingdoms?
According to God’s prophetic timeline, the prophet Daniel proclaims the two kingdoms are Iran (Medo-Persia) and Turkey (Greece-Javan). Today, we can have total confidence that if any world leader, military commander, or geopolitical analyst is asked who is the dominant power in the Middle East, most, if not all, would say Iran. In fact, after Saddam Hussein was dethroned from power in Iraq (2003), Iran has become the supreme authoritarian regime of the region, who not only has major power and control in Iraq, but in other nations, as well, just as the prophet Daniel prophesied.
As we can see, Iran (Medo-Persia) has commenced its prophetic calling by marching westward, northward, and southward, becoming great, just as Daniel 8:4 prophesied. It has major influence and control over Iraq, Lebanon (Hezbollah), Yemen, and Syria, as it attempts to create a “Shia crescent” from Iran to the Mediterranean Sea.
However, as the prophet Daniel continues in chapter 8, he prophesies that Turkey (Greece-Javan) will rise to power to not only challenge Iran for supreme dominance of the geographical land area, but viciously defeat the empire, as well. He proclaims Turkey will “come to Iran with furious rage and power, confront and rage against them, and attack and trample Iran to the ground” (Daniel 8:6-7). Make no mistake: this will be a major war between these two Islamic countries.
Therefore, are we witnessing the rise of Turkey and its leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan? Is Erdogan prophetically declaring the re-establishment of the ancient Ottoman/Grecian Empire that controlled the land area of Iraq, Syria, etc., which Iran currently has power and influence over? The answer is absolutely yes. In the next several years, we will witness this biblical battle of supreme proportions and implications come to fulfillment.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s proclamations:
“Syria is responsible for the terrorism since it refuses to accept our solutions … When we speak of Syria or the Balkans or the Caucasus, these were part of our [Ottoman] geography from 100 years ago. I believe we will overcome all the obstacles in front of us, which will be the will of Allah … Turkey has a massive power and will use it … We are more confident today about our future because since the morning of July the 15th (Turkey coup), we are more powerful, we are now in a place that looks more hopeful . . . Our commitment in achieving the 2023 target. Turkey will cut off the front foot with the diplomatic games. We will continue to remove, those who played their games.” Erdogan continued to add, “what I promised in Syria, Iraq, the Balkans and the Caucasus is now within reach.”
Erdogan reiterated his 2023 goal after his monumental referendum win on April 16, 2017, as he erected an Ottoman Empire statue to further authenticate his goals for the Middle East, which is the revived Ottoman Empire.
“We will reach our goals for 2023 with our people and no one will discourage us from achieving this neither the traitors of the Gulen organization, the PKK, nor allies who are working to encircle us along our borders.”

Please note: the Ottoman Empire is interchangeable with the Grecian Empire (Javan), as both represent Turkey. As we can see, there is a conflict of interest between Iran and Turkey in relation to the coveted land area each strives to possess.
